Montgomery Police Kid Print Program

The kid print program is a child identification system. Montgomery Police Officers take a digital photograph of the child along with a digital image of the child's thumb print. They add these to a computer generated card approximately the size of a credit card. This card is then given to the parent. It allows the parent to have a photograph with personal information and safety tips should a child becomes lost. The parent can then use the card to assist Law Enforcement in locating a lost child. If the parent requests, the child image and information is saved on a secured MTPD laptop computer. Should the family be anywhere out of the area, such as on vacation, Montgomery Police can send the information to the investigating Police department so they have a current photograph and personal identifiers for the lost child.

This program will be held at Orpha's Sunday June 8 starting 10:00 am to 1:00 PM

Spring Events

Beginning March 30th through the end of June, Orpha's will be celebrating the coming of Spring with a series of concerts and other fun-filled activities for the whole family every Sunday. Kicking off the series will be a special performance by Orpha's favorite Larry Tritel; other local acts scheduled to perform include Eli the Hawk, Carmen Marannco, 15 Keys, Upper Princeton Swing, and 18 Months/No Interest to name a few. To raise awareness about Montgomery Township's new recycling ordinance, guests are encouraged to bring in a trashcan full of plastic recyclables for 10% off at Orpha's. There are also family activities and games associated with recycling and helping the environment every Sunday in April. Montgomery Police will also be present, performing child car seat checks as well as offering open registration to Montgomery's Ident-a-kid program. The car seat checks will be administered by trained and certified officers to make sure that you are using the proper device and it is not in poor condition or on a recall list. If your safety seat does not pass, you may qualify to receive a complimentary seat thanks to Montgomery Township and the New Jersey Department of Highway Traffic Safety. Ident-a-kid is a finger printing and identification program that functions as a valuable aid to law enforcement when tracking down missing children. Both services are provided free of charge to all Montgomery Township residents.
